Class Reunions 2019
The Staff and students of Cistercian College, together with members of the Monastic Community, were delighted to welcome the Classes of 1969, 1989, 1994 & 1999 to the College on September 14th as they gathered to celebrate their respective class reunions.
Mr Grealish, College Principal welcomed the four groups to the College and gave a very informative and positive report on the College.
Mr Gary Halpin and Mr Kevin Kelly organised tours of the College Campus and the groups were delighted to see the recent refurbishments, as outlined by Mr Liam Spooner, Head of Development in the College.
A huge “Thank You” to Ms Catherine Scott for organising the receptions, to Fr Kevin Daly for recounting stories of the groups’ years in CCR and to Dom Malachy Thompson for celebrating the Reunion Mass in the College Chapel.
The groups subsequently held their formal Reunion Dinners in the County Arms Hotel, Birr.
Earlier this month, the Class of 1984 also celebrated their 35 Year Reunion in the County Arms Hotel, Birr.
